About Jessica (the Bride)

Jessica grew up in Andover, Massachusetts.  When Adam met Jessica, she had recently moved back to Massachusetts after living in Connecticut for five years, attending college at the University of Hartford and obtaining her Master’s degree at Quinnipiac University. Armed with her background in technology and a Master’s in Interactive Communications, Jessica taught several courses at Bunker Hill Community College and Northeastern University in web development before transitioning to a permanent arrangement with the College of Communication at Boston University, where she now works as a Senior Media Technician.  In her spare time, Jessica loves to run, bake, make (and eat) sushi, hang out with friends, and play with her and Adam’s adorable 4-year-old chiweenie, Paprika aka Little Papi.

About Adam (the Groom)

Adam was raised in Newton, Massachusetts and lived in the Boston area all his life except for a brief 4-year period known as “college” when he attended the University of Texas at Austin.  When Jessica met Adam, he was in his final year of doctoral study at Tufts University Sackler School of Graduate Biomedical Sciences.  With his freshly-printed Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Adam now studies prostate cancer as a postdoctoral fellow at Harvard Medical School, in a lab at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.  Adam loves to cook (but leaves the baking to Jessica), playing piano, and editing his wedding website with Little Papi on his lap.

How We Met

Jessica and Adam met at Au Bon Pain at the Burlington Mall for a cup of coffee after approximately 1 month of messaging each other through OKCupid.  Adam vehemently denies knowing that OKCupid was an online dating website, claiming that he signed up in college when it offered various personality tests.  Yet Jessica could see from Adam’s profile that they had a lot in common, so when she sent Adam a message for the first time, Adam was pleasantly surprised and eagerly responded.  The rest, as they say, is history!

About Us

Jessica and Adam love spending time with friends and family above all else, and are honored that so many will be able to join them in celebrating their marriage, at engagement parties, showers, the ceremony itself, or Sheva Berachot meals in the week following the wedding.  Jessica has converted Adam into a fully-fledged dog lover, having adopted Little Papi a year after they met, and all three of them are excited to become a family on August 19, 2012.  Adam and Jessica are always able to bring humor into everyday situations, fulfilling the true intent of “Live. Laugh. Love.”
