Contact Me

My name is Jessica Fine Sowalsky. I am an Enterprise Learning Technology Systems Manager in the Learning Technology Strategy Group for the Division of Information Technology at the University of Maryland. I previously worked as an Educational Technologist in the Educational Technology, Training, and Outreach Group for Information Services and Technology at Boston University. I previously taught at Northeastern University (NEU). At NEU I taught Website Design and Advanced Website Design. These NEU classes are either taught in-class, online (using Blackboard), or blended (in-class with an online component). Besides teaching at NEU, I previously taught HTML and Dreamweaver in-class and online using WebCT at Bunker Hill Community College (BHCC).

In 2017, I recieved my Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Education with an emphasis in E-Learning at Northcentral University. In 2008, I received my Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Interactive Communications from Quinnipiac University in Hamden, CT. Prior to attending Quinnipiac University, I went to the University of Hartford and that is where I received my Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in 2007, with a concentration in Communication and a minor in Education.

Prior to teaching, I had held various jobs with ESPN, CBS Sports, Boston Neighborhood Network, and Lowell Spinners Baseball. With these television production experiences under my belt and further training in graduate school, I have developed a passion for human-computer interaction including website design. You can read more information about these two topics on the My Interests page.

I provide here my curriculum vitae (CV) and my résumé.
